Can you answer my question about child support?
I’m having a baby in March and want to parent her, her father will have to pay child support obviously but I have some questions i thought some of you might be able to answer…

1) What would happen if he missed payments or wasn’t paying?

2) If he wasn’t paying it would his parents be responsible?

3) Are me and the baby screwed if he doesn’t pay (will i get additional goverment aid if he doesn’t pay? Or just be on my own?)

The father’s parents clearly don’t have a problem with money, he’s an adult but is not employed….

1. If a payment is missed or he stops paying you contact your local child support enforcement office, open a case, if they can find him they will pursue him for the money..

2. No… It doesn’t matter how much or how little money they have they are not the parent they are not responsible to pay child support or their sons debts he is an adult and responsible for his own debts…

3. It is possible you will get screwed, contact the child support enforcement office immediately and begin a case, it’s easier if you start with it all there than having to play catch up later….

From what I know, you’re screwed if he doesn’t make payments. You can fight it, however, that takes time so you should have an extra plan to make up for the difference each month in case he doesn’t pay. If he’s an adult, he is solely responsible, no one else.

It just depends on your situation. You can go to welfare and see if you qualify for food stamps. Baby should qualify for medicaid. And WIC will give you coupons for certain foods (free) for baby until he/she is 5.

No matter the situation, weather he pays or not, you should contact a child support center. This way you can make an official agreement as to how much he should be paying you. If you decide not to contact anyone at least do one super important thing. Get "receipts" for any, and all money he pays you. Even if you have to go to walmart and get a receipt book so you both can have a copy, or write out written receipts that you both sign and have a copy of. This way in case later if anything goes awry you have proof of money he did, or didn’t give you.

Was I selfish Or was he?
I was in a relationship for 12mths until 3 weeks ago. We werent living together and he lives 3 hrs drive away from me. We saw each other every other weekend. He lost his wife to cancer 2 yrs ago and has a 11yr old daughter. I have three children 17, 13, and 3. The last six mths of our relationship became very strained. He felt that I was always distant towards him and didnt show him enough love or affection. Throughout that time that things were strained I was going through a very difficult time with my children. My 17yr old son has special needs and was having many problems at school. also My youngest was diagnosed with special needs too. I was living in a nightmare and all my time andenergy was taken up with the problems I was facing.
His belief that I was distant was causing so may arguments between us, as I felt he was being to needy of me, and that he was being emotionally selfish. Eventually on New years eve , 3wks ago, whilst I was staying at his house, it came to a head and he again complained about my lack of affection. It esculated into a huge row and ended with him asking me to leave, which I did the nxt morning. As I left he made no attempt to stop me or even to try to talk to me. So, I left and drove 300 miles home. A few days later I sent a nice txt to say I was sorry things hadnt worked out and I hoped in the future we could be friends. I heard nothing back for 4 days, and then at 4am one morning I got a nasty txt bk saying he wanted nothing to do with me, and that he had loved me dearly only to get no love back off me. I havent heard anything since and, now I am starting to think things over, and I cant help but feel I was selfish, and that I could have been more loving towards him. In hindsight I believe I was distant and I did push him away. I was too wrapped up in the stresses and strains that were occuring in my life to remember him. I think that I could have done more to make him feel loved and cared for but I didnt, and now I am feeling so bad for that. I want to call him, but I know he wont take my call. I dont know what I should do. I miss him dearly . Can someone help to make sense of all thisfor me? Thank you x

That was certainly not the right time for a relationship but no matter how distant he claimed you were he wanted more than you could give at the time. He is not the one. None of it matters. You two just didn’t work out. It doesn’t have to be your fault or his fault. You were together for 12 months, and half of that time the relationship was strained. Don’t beat yourself up. You tried, the relationship ran its course, and did not work out. No big deal. It’s not like you were married and breaking up meant lawyers and custody arrangements and child support. Just move on to the next relationship and hope it works out better.

Yes you were selfish, relationships need work and maintenance. If you can’t or won’t put the effort in then it will always end in failure.

Yes you were selfish, but only because you had to be. We only have so much energy to give and when it’s all used up it’s all used up.

Either way you take it I doubt you are going to have any more energy in the near future no matter how much you might wish otherwise. I expect this is sadly the end and it’s time to move on.

Posssible corrupt BIOS. No startup. Help needed.?
So anyways I got a hp dv5 and was running a BIOS update from hp that was recommended to help with certain problems. Halfway through however I got BSOD for no apparent reason. Upon turning the computer on now all that happens is I get a powered black screen, all lights (volume display, etc) and fans on. However nothing else shows on the screen. No words, no loading bars, nothing. I’ve tried all the shortcuts to get a flicker of life from my computer to no avail.

Anyone got any solution besides a hard reset?

Based on what you stated, you will have to create a Windows bootable CD and a CD containing the BIOS update files necessary to run the BIOS update program. You will have to create this bootable CD on another computer using a burning program that creates bootable CDs.

You will have to go to your pc’s manufacturer’s tech support site to obtain the original BIOS updating program files choosing the BIOS version that was on your pc just prior to your update attempt or the date just before you bought your pc.

Once booted to the CD, you’ll be able to run the BIOS update program again and everything should come up just fine. The time consuming part is the preparation. The fix will take just a couple of minutes and you’ll be up and runing.
